Around 2:14 a.m. Monday morning, the Avra Valley Fire District responded to a mobile-home fire at 16940 W. Peccary LN.

Units were notified that neighbors had call 911 because they had believed that there was some type of brush on fire next to their neighbors mobile home.

Upon arrival units found a trash bin on fire which had also ignited the exterior of a double wide mobile home on fire as well. Units on scene extinguished the fire in approximately seven minutes.

The family who was asleep at the time was woken up by the Pima County Sherriff’s who arrived on scene first.

Nobody living in the home was injured and the estimated amount of damages to the home is around $5,000 to $10,000 dollars.

The fire is still under investigation at this time.
