During a trip to Madera Canyon, Harrison Elkins took a photo of a butterfly only to realize later that a crab spider was eating it. Typically, flower spiders, a specific type of crab spider, wait on a flowers and remain motionless for long periods of time until they ambush flower visitors such as butterflies, bees and flies.
