Marana had the top two girls golfers in a three-team match against Buena and Sunnyside. The Colts were the only team to field five golfes. Marana had just four, while Sunnyside had three.

Marisol Benavidez shot a 38, two strokes better than Vanessa Leiterman. Benavidez started slow, but caught fire over the final seven holes, shooting par or better on six holes. She shot par on three, four and five, then birdied six. She had issues on seven, but added two more pars on eight and nine.

Leiterman shot par on two of the first three holes then birdied five.

Buena’s top finisher was Brianna Lewis who was third with a 47.

Marana’s Alexis Pico was fifth with a 49, while no Blue Devil shot better than 64.
