The Ironwood Ridge boys volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win over Pueblo on Tuesday night, further bolstering their playoff position.

The Nighthawks controlled the match throughout as the Warriors never scored more than 18 points in any set. Those 18 came in the opening set as the Nighthawks cruised 25-18. They took the second set 25-16 and then slammed the door on the Warriors with a 25-12 third set thrashing.

Michael Neufeldt led the team with seven kills and three aces, whileMatt  Solverson had 21 assists. Solverson also led the team with eight digs. Shane McAdams had six kills and three blocks, one less than Eric Watson who had a team best four blocks.

The Nighthawks improved to 17-14 overall, but more importantly 11-3 in regular season games that count towards the post season. They maintained their No. 14 ranking  in the latest rankings released Wednesday morning after winning six straight games.

They host Mountain View on Thursday and travel to Rincon on Friday to cap a busy three-game week.
