Nogales had one big inning and that was the difference as the Apaches beat Ironwood Ridge 6-2 on Thursday afternoon.

The Nighthawks took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, but Nogales answered with four runs in the bottom half of the inning and that proved to be the difference in the game.

The Nighthawks added one in the six, but Nogales answered with two runs that inning and got the win as Angel Zuniga pitched a scoreless seventh to earn the complete game win.

The loss came 48 hours after the Nighthawks upset rival CDO. They drop to 6-10 on the regular season and 13-12 overall.
