The Ironwood Ridge girls golf team cruised to an easy victory on Wednesday, beating Palo Verde and Desert View. The Nighthawks finished with a 162, 113 strokes better than Palo Verde. Desert View did not have enough golfers to post a qualifying team score.

The Nighhawks actually had the top-eight lowest scores, although only the top four counted towards the team score. Sydney Colwill led the way with a 34. She made par on her first five holes. She had a hiccup on six, her lone bogey, but birdied two of the final three holes.

Her teammates Abby Miller and Victoria Browning each added identical 42’s Miller made par on three of her first four holes, while Browning birdied four.

Lily Nielson added a 44, getting par on her final two holes, and four holes overall.

All eight Nighthawks shot under 54.

The next lowest score was Desert View’s Myalezay Rodriguez’s 66.
