Tucson gastroenterologist Dr. Charles Sanner presents "Trends in Gluten Intolerance" to the Southern Arizona Celiac Support group on Saturday, Nov. 13.

The event begins with a light meal at 9 a.m. that Saturday at the Pima Community College District Office, 4905 E. Broadway. It is free and open to the public.

Dr. Sanner, identified as the first Tucson doctor to use the "Pillcam" method of diagnosis for celiac disease and gluten intolerance, plans to talk about complications from undiagnosed gluten intolerance.

Questions and answers follow Dr. Sanner's talk. There are gift bags of gluten-free foods as raffle prizes, along with celiac disease and gluten intolerance news. The group shares information on how to manage the gluten-free diet.
