With school letting out in southern Arizona this week, the D-backs are offering a fun and educational summer activity. The Arizona Diamondbacks will return to Tucson this summer (June 23 – 27) to teach aspiring big leaguers, ages 6 – 12, how to “Play the D-backs Way.” The D-backs Baseball Academy Summer Camp will be held from 8:00 – 11:00AM at Mehl Park, located on River Road between Alvernon and Swan. The five day camp features low player-to-coach ratios to maximize learning. They are designed to match every age and skill level. The D-backs Baseball Academy is a great way to spend the summer break while improving as a baseball player.

Each camp day and session is highly choreographed to maximize participation and activity time. To ensure quality instruction, enrollment is limited to a 1:10 ratio of instructor-to-student. In fact, you will often see smaller group sizes to provide the best possible learning environment.

The D-backs Baseball Academy, now in its 15th season, has taught thousands of kids to play the game in a highly professional way. Twenty three (23) camps are scheduled in Arizona this summer. The D-backs Baseball Academy will also take place in Yuma on June 9 -13, and Sierra Vista on July 14 – 18.

Youth camp registration includes:

       D-backs Cap

       D-backs T-shirt

       Free tickets to a D-backs 2014 home game

The D-backs Baseball Academy summer camp in Tucson is $175 per camp participant. The hours are 8:00 – 11:00 am daily. Registration is now open at dbacks.com/academy or by calling (800) 821-7152
