Ask Susan Fulton and Mary (Gibson) Steiger how they feel about their gluten free bakery/bistro business six years after they began their concept at Tucson area farmer’s markets and prepare to be swept away by their enthusiasm. The pair have more passion than ever for continuing their quest to bring gourmet gluten free dining to Tucson in their dedicated, certified GF restaurant where diners have no fear of cross-contamination. The “girls” have grown their business from a small market vendor stall to their bustling retail location and employ 15 people. Dinner service on Friday and Saturday nights is now offered, in addition to their breakfast and lunch hours.
Fulton and Steiger attribute the fulfillment of their dreams partly to the growing awareness of the health issues caused by eating gluten, but more importantly, to the support and friendship from the Tucson community.
