Woman breaks into vehicle and charges victim's credit card

On Dec. 23, 2013, around 2:00 p.m., a vehicle was broken into in the 7300 block of West El Camino Del Cerro.

When deputies arrived, they learned the victim’s purse was stolen from the car.

The victim later discovered the suspect was using her credit cards at various retailers in the area, and provided that information to deputies.

The Sheriff’s Department Auto Theft Unit took over the investigation and discovered the suspect is responsible for an approximate $3,000.00 loss to the victim.

Detectives were able to obtain photos of the suspect from when the stolen cards were used.

The suspect is described as:

• Hispanic female

• Long, dark hair

• Heavy set

• Wearing a pink jacket, glasses and carrying a grey back pack

• Driving a gold Nissan sedan

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
