On Feb. 10 at around 12:40 a.m., Pima County Sheriff deputies responded to a burglary in progress at an apartment complex in the 3200 block of West Ina Road.

When deputies arrived, they learned three males kicked in an apartment door and assaulted the 20-year-old male who lived there. When the victim’s 19-year-old girlfriend came out of the bedroom to see what was happening, she was also assaulted.

During the assault, the male victim was stabbed multiple times. He was transported to a local trauma center with life threatening injuries. The female victim refused medical treatment.

They were transported to the Pima County Adult Detention Center and booked on the following charges:

• Attempted 1st Degree Murder
