As summer temperatures rise, Arizona residents seek ways to keep cool and still stay active. Indulge your desire to get out and enjoy the environment by attending one of the Desert Museum’s Cool Summer Nights beginning Saturday, May 31 when the museum stays open until 10 p.m. on Saturday nights through Labor Day weekend.
“Nothing beats visiting the desert at night. The sun sets, the animals begin to prowl, and the stars illuminate the desert sky,” states Craig Ivanyi, the Museum’s Executive Director. “These Saturday night events have become a tradition and are so popular guests should arrive by 5 p.m. to get a good parking spot and enjoy a relaxing dinner.”
Each Saturday night offers different themes. Some nights include free photography and art workshops. All the programs and activities are in keeping with the Museum’s mission to instill understanding, appreciation, and conservation of this Sonoran Desert.
