On March 29, at about 1:20 a.m., San Xavier District Deputies responded to a wireless 9-1-1 hang-up in the 14400 block of West Kestrel Road. While en route, deputies learned armed intruders were at the residence and someone was injured.

When deputies arrived, they located an injured male with obvious signs of trauma. Deputies performed life saving measures on the injured male; however, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Deputies learned a neighbor heard sounds of distress coming from the incident location and went to investigate. He followed the sounds that lead him to a neighbor’s property where he encountered one of the armed suspects. Gunshots were exchanged and the suspect, Luis Antonio Lupercio, 26, was fatally wounded.

Since then, homicide detectives arrested: Robert Pryor for First Degree Murder, Osvaldo Carrillo-Valenzuela for First Degree Murder, Forrest Lupercio for First Degree Murder, Alejandra Robinson for Possession of a Dangerous Drug, and Daniel Mancilla-Rangel First Degree Murder.
