On March 25, at 8:35a.m., officers responded to Alta Vista High School in response to an assault victim.

An 18-year old female at the school reported that she was walking to school when she was approached by a male suspect near the intersection Campbell Avenue and Iowa Drive.  The male grabbed her from behind in a choke hold and told her not to scream.  The victim was able to fight of the suspect and ran to school where she reported the incident.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 30's, 5'07" tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.  He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans and had a scar on his right arm.

At this point, the suspects intentions were unknown.  Anyone with information is urged to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
