Where were you in 1985?

On April 19, 1985, Tohono Chul Park opened its doors for the very first time.

For nostalgia's sake, the park opens its doors to everyone on Monday, April 19, for free admission to celebrate the park's 25th birthday.

Guests may take a docent-led tour, visit an eco-station, view the galleries, shop or simply stroll to look at the carpet of spring wildflowers, a release said.

Tohono Chul Park is "the desert corner garden where nature, art, and culture connect," it continued. Educa¬tional programs, art and cultural exhibits, nature trails, gardens and special events offer the visi¬tor the opportunity "to experience the desert and all its treasures."

For more information, call 742-6455, visit www.tohonochulpark.org, or visit in person at 7366 N. Paseo del Norte, one stoplight west of Oracle and Ina.
