Oro Valley ArtsFest, a local favorite fine art festival, returns for its 14th year this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 20 and 21, at Cañada Del Oro Riverfront Park.
It is free and open to the public at the park, located at 551 W. Lambert Lane, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The entertainment and shopping event is presented by the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance. ArtsFest features musical performances, kids activities, tasty food and more than 100 artists in many media, a release said.
Children can participate through arts-and-crafts demonstrations, face painting and inflatable jumping devices. “Balloonatic” Mr. Hocus the clown will sculpt kids’ favorite balloon characters and fascinate all ages with magical coin and card tricks.
Among the featured artists are metal worker Sam Mayhab, photographer Bob Gertz, fashionable bag creator Carson Jansen, and green fashion designer Deb Adair.
Saturday musical performers are Julliard Jazz, High Desert Bluegrass, a cappella vocalists CatCall, the Ironwood Ridge High School chorus and jazz / blues band Know Man’s Land. On the Sunday performance schedule are Julliard Jazz, Tony Furtado, Brian Lopez and Michael Friedmann.
