Final details are set for the Oro Valley Holiday Celebration, a two-day event this Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4 and 5, at historic Steam Pump Ranch off Oracle Road.

The event is free and open to the public.

On Friday, Miss Pima County Kathryn Bulkley serves as master of ceremonies.

Non-perishable foods and unwrapped gifts are being accepted for the town's Adopt-A-Family Giving Tree, which is being lighted Friday.

A fire pit with s'mores is being sponsored by the Golder Ranch Fire District.

And there is a chili-tasting competition to benefit Adopt-A-Family.

Jonas Hunter of the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance is master of ceremonies at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Saturday events run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Santa arrives on a Wells Fargo stage coach, escorted by Golder Ranch Fire Department and the Oro Valley Police Department. Students provide entertainment. Crafts and cookie decoration keep the kids busy. A non-profit expo is also planned.
