Youthful participants in Young Rembrandts are displaying their art at a Northwest bagel shop this week.

The display opens at 5 p.m. Friday, June 4, with student recognition at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at Einstein Bros Bagels, 7151 N. Oracle Road.

Young Rembrandts is an international franchise whose curriculum is intended to enhance overall academic success through the teaching of fundamental drawing skills. Angela Burton bought into Young Rembrandts a year ago.

"Dispelling the 'myth of art' and showing children that they can draw, even if they think they can't, is truly awesome," she said.

There are there-year-round Young Rembrandts programs in greater Tucson, for children ages 4-13. For more information, visit www.youngrembrandts.com/tucson-az.
