Healthy, budget-friendly eating is July 9 subject

Eating Well Equals Eating Healthy is the topic of the next Commit To Be Fit lecture. Oro Valley Hospital chef Victor Anderes "will tempt your taste buds and spur your creativity in the kitchen," discussing and demonstrating how to prepare healthy meals that are budget friendly and have lots of flavor, a release said.

Anderes is also sharing recipes and preparing healthy foods, including Sopa Azteca, grilled vegetables, and two desserts.

The public is invited to hear Anderes speak on Thursday, July 9 at the free Commit To Be Fit lecture at 7 p.m. at Oro Valley Hospital, 1551 E. Tangerine Road. Space is limited. The Commit To Be Fit program sponsored by Oro Valley Hospital utilizes the website at www.orovalleyhospital.com/ctbf.php. It includes a step-by-step calendar and motivational guide, plus fitness and nutrition tips, an exercise tracker and a meal journal.

Lectures are held at Oro Valley Hospital, 1551 East Tangerine Road, from 7 to 8 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month.
