In our March 2 issue, The Explorer incorrectly stated BodyBasics Health & Fitness specialized in physical therapy. While BodyBasics offers training that is similar to physical therapy, owners Chris and Kris Litten wanted to clarify that the company is not an accredited physical therapy facility.
The Littens and their staff help clients develop long-term wellness programs; they also cater to people with special needs, such as those suffering from aging joints, brain trauma, spinal cord injuries and coronary heart disease.
The Oro Valley couple moved BodyBasics to its new location in the Ina Professional Center, 1631 W. Ina Road, in November to better serve their clients by more than doubling the workout space, from 1,100 to 2,400 square feet. The additional area enabled BodyBasics to conduct simultaneous workout classes.
BodyBasics’ seven trainers have earned certifications through the American Council on Exercise or National Strength and Conditioning Association; many also hold a college degree in kinesiology or exercise therapy, said Kris Litten.
