Carondelet opens clinic on Silverbell

The Carondelet Medical Group has opened a walk-in clinic on Tucson's West side.

The Carondelet Silverbell Walk-in Clinic is located at 2500 N. Silverbell Road, Suite 100. Its hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.

Carondelet has also opened a new walk-in clinic in Sahuarita. The two new offices join a network of nearly 20 Carondelet Medical Group and Carondelet Specialty Group offices throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona.

Walk-in clinics "offer easy-to-access care for non-emergency illnesses or injuries without the need for an appointment," a release said. Physicians Michael Beals, DO; Richard L. Klassen, MD; and Moira Shannon, MD are among healthcare providers who'll serve the needs of patients in both locations on a rotating basis.

"Our goal is to see patients quickly, efficiently and correctly," said Beals. "That has always been my vision. We can be something different, a part of the solution to the healthcare delivery system in the Tucson area."

Beals said a visit to a walk-in clinic is an ideal "stop gap" if you are hurt or ill, but can't see your regular primary care doctor right away. After a clinic visit, physicians encourage patients to follow-up with their regular doctors for continued care. If the patient does not have a primary care provider, the staff can suggest a Carondelet Medical Group physician who is accepting new patients in their area.

Carondelet clinics are organized to reduce wait times. If there is a wait of an hour or more, front office staff will take a patient's phone number and call them 15 minutes before they can be seen, the release said.
