'Heart of house' Ritz-Carlton tour Tuesday, Dec. 29
Want to take a behind-the-scenes look at the new Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain?
A networking reception is being held at the new north Marana resort from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29. It's being put on by the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain and The Groundskeeper, arranged through the Marana Chamber of Commerce.
Light hors d'oeuvres and tastings, a cash bar and a special "heart of the house" tour are planned.
The price is $30 for chamber members and non-members. RSVP and payment is required by Thursday, Dec. 24, through the chamber office.
Real estate firm opens an OV office
RE/MAX Excalibur has opened its first Tucson area office in Oro Valley, and has named a manager/associate broker.
The office has been established at 11115 N. La Cañada Drive in Oro Valley.
John "Chip" Rock, the manager /associate broker, is a University of Arizona graduate and a resident of Tucson since 1971.
He began his real estate career in 1987 and has been a RE/MAX associate since 1990. He can be reached at 907-5639.
RE/MAX Excalibur was established in 1988, and has office locations in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson. Its owner, Howard Lein, was honored as international broker/owner of the year for 2009.
Sanofi-aventis dedication is Jan. 13 in OV
Sanofi-aventis, the international pharmaceuticals company, is holding the grand opening celebration of its new Tucson Research Center on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
The event begins at 9:30 a.m. with a site dedication, tours of the new facility and luncheon. That afternoon, the company hosts a scientific symposium, "Regenerative and Translational Medicine in the Southwest."
The new research center, representing an investment of more than $60 million, is located at 2090 East Innovation Park Drive in Oro Valley. Tucson site directors are Beth Koch and Ken Wertman.
