On Wednesday, Aug. 25, Northwest businessman Dr. Don Jorgensen is delivering the keynote presentation at an annual five-day workplace training conference in Beijing, China.

Jorgensen, president of Tucson-based Jorgensen/Brooks Group, was expected to speak with more than 100 corporate leaders and managers of Chinese companies regarding the impact of employee assistance programs worldwide. He'll also conduct seminars on how to identify and assist troubled employees to improve workplace health and productivity, a release said.

In 2003, Jorgensen was the first American to deliver a keynote address before a Chinese professional workplace/EAP conference. He is past president of the international Employee Assistance Professionals Association, and serves as a speaker, trainer and consultant to corporations and treatment centers in North America, Europe and Asia.

Jorgensen/Brooks Group was founded in 1991. It provides employee assistance program services, workplace training and crisis management services in the Southwest, and has created employee assistance programs and addiction treatment programs across the United States and worldwide, the release concluded.
