Listed as one of the top 10 fastest growing franchises in 2011 by Inc. Magazine, European Wax Center continues to grow and please its customers with its own wax from France and personable customer service.

“What I take pride in and what I find important is customer service,” said Christine Babin, co-owner of the European Wax Center on West Magee Road. “I get from customers that our service is personable, that our staff is immaculate, and our store is very clean. To me that speaks volumes.”

Babin is a licensed cosmetologist who, along with her husband, William Babin, and two friends, Maria and Keir Cochran, co-owns both European Wax Centers in Tucson. The other store is located on North First Avenue where most of the customers are University of Arizona students.

European Wax Center offers full body waxing for men and women. The wax they use is made in France and is 100 percent bee’s wax. Besides the high quality of wax, Babin says that they go through a four-step process with all their customers when waxing is done. The first step is the cleansing of the skin, the oil is put on, followed by the wax and then they finish with a cream to help with any redness.

“I think our four-step process can set us apart,” said Babin. “The four steps enable us to take care of our customers from start to finish.”

First time guests are offered a free wax, says Babin. Women can receive an eyebrow, underarm, or bikini line wax. If they want to upgrade to a Brazilian bikini wax they can do that and only pay for half the price. The Brazilian bikini wax is normally $42. As for men, they can get a free eyebrow, ear, or nose wax.

“There’s no strings attached to this, it’s just something that all the European Wax Centers in the country offer to their first time guests,” said Babin. “We want them to try out the product because we are passionate about it, because it’s such a good product.”

Over the years Babin’s passion for her business has grown as she’s seen first hand how she can help people and make a positive difference. The other reason is that she considers everyone on staff her family and genuinely enjoys spending time with them.

“I care about each and every one of them,” said Babin. “To me, it’s not just about the business.”

European Wax Center is open Monday to Sunday and located at 7645 N. Oracle Road.
