(AP) A measure in the Arizona Legislature that would allow people to carry concealed weapons into places that serve alcohol has upset some restaurant owners.

They say the measure would make bars and restaurants more dangerous, place undue burdens on restaurant owners, and give the tourism industry a bad image.

The owner of Duke's Sports Bar & Grill in Scottsdale, Al McCarthy, says if the measure becomes law, he will post signs telling customers to leave their guns outside.

He says people realize alcohol and guns don't mix.

The Republican-led Senate has passed the bill and sent it the House of Representatives.

The measure would make Arizona the 40th state to allow firearms in dining establishments that serve alcohol.
