The name of the game this week is maintenance and consistency. Nothing extremely exciting happen this week other than feeling comfortable in the normalcy of my routine.
Every day, after dropping my children off at school, I head in to the gym. My workout normally incorporates some type of running along with some changes in weight training, turning the workout into a circuit. Circuits make for a quick, flexible routine that strips you of the monotony of steady state cardio. I prefer circuits as I typically get a little bored doing just one thing for an extended period of time.
My diet went fairly well. I stuck to my 1200-1400 calorie routine, with my one free day to reset my metabolism. I have definitely slowed down in my weight loss but that can only be expected as I approach my goal. Also, the weight I am at now is the same weight I was for about 10 years; I don’t anticipate it coming off very willingly.
Thing I learned this week: Slow and steady wins the race.
