Catherine Reynolds – Week 31
I started training for the decathalon this week. Of course, when we train, I am doing all ten events instead of just five at a time. Luckily, by doing it this way, I will have an easier time during the actual competition.
The format of the competition is ten events split into two days. By having more rest time in between events and fewer events in a day, I will hopefully recover a little quicker between events, resulting in better scores. Already though, in just two sessions doing the full decathalon, I have seen a decent improvement in my performance. Add a little adrenaline and I should be good to go!
Thing I learned this week: Overtrain a little so your actual event will be easier!
