Gwendolyn G. Joseph, a former vice president of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, has been named Interim President of Pima Community College’s Downtown Campus.

“Gwen has solid track record of thoughtful, executive level academic leadership,” Chancellor Lee D. Lambert says. “Her extensive experience and collaborative approach to problem solving will be a valuable addition to the College.”

Ms. Joseph served as vice president of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System from 2006-2011. She also has served as interim chief executive officer and dean of Montana State University, Great Falls College of Technology, and dean of Technical and Continuing Education at San Jacinto College in Texas.

Ms. Joseph earned her doctoral degree in Education Administration and Community College Leadership from the University of Texas in Austin. She has a master’s degree in Occupational Education/Training and Development from the University of Houston. Her first day at PCC will be Dec. 16.

Downtown Campus, at Stone and Speedway, is one of six PCC campuses in the Tucson area.
