More help has arrived to help tend to a fire in Oak Creek Canyon in Northern Arizona, which has already burned through at least 1,000 acres, according to fire officials.

The Northwest Fire District deployed four Ironwood Hotshot firefighters today, and the crew, using a type 3 fire engine, is currently in the area of Prescott/Sedona.

Department spokesman Adam Goldberg said there is no word if the Hotshots have been assigned to the line yet, as updates are still coming in regarding their current role in subduing the blaze.

Harsh winds have continued to threaten pushing the fire north, where it could threaten populated areas. Approximately 100 homes have already been evacuated.

The fire is thought to have been human-caused.
